Mistfall Hunter Abyssal Cipher Guide

When an Abyssal Cipher shows Hay, Cheese, find Merimo at Windrest Camp, choose Decipher, select the cipher, and confirm.

STEP ONE CHECK THE ITEM

Check the Abyssal Cipher

In the Windrest Camp inventory, select the Abyssal Cipher. Open the Abyssal Cipher tooltip and check the item name.

The tooltip identifies it as a Legendary Item that can be brought to Windrest Camp to be deciphered.

STEP TWO READ THE WORDS

Confirm the Hay, Cheese Clue

Read the clue words on the item. This route is for an Abyssal Cipher showing Hay, Cheese.

Confirm Hay, Cheese, then use Merimo. If your item shows different clue words, do not use this exact answer.

Clue answer: Hay, Cheese → Merimo.

STEP THREE FIND THE CHARACTER

Find Merimo at Windrest Camp

At Windrest Camp, find Merimo beside Pip and near the Auction area. Walk up to the character and confirm that the displayed name is Merimo.

Location: Pip / Auction area → Merimo.

STEP FOUR OPEN THE MENU

Interact with Merimo. The character menu opens and displays the available actions.

Action: interact with Merimo.

STEP FIVE USE THE MENU

Choose Decipher

Choose Decipher in Merimo's interaction menu. When the Deciphering window opens, select the Abyssal Cipher and confirm the action.

Use this menu path: Merimo → Decipher → Abyssal Cipher → confirm.

Button: choose Decipher, not a shop or Auction option.

STEP SIX FINISH THE ACTION

Wait for the Result

Wait for the deciphering sequence to finish. The interface shows the deciphered text first, followed by the obtained result.

When the result notification appears, the cipher route is complete.

Finish: wait for the result before closing the menu.

Follow the same six actions from left to right. Stop after step two if the clue words are not Hay, Cheese.
